London 2

We really loved London and fully intend to go back someday. We were very lucky on one of the days we were there and had the warmest, sunniest day which can be so rare in London. I think I loved London so much too because I have seen so many movies based there and it was fun to be walking those streets. I loved it!

I'm not sure the name of this park but it was right outside of Buckingham Palace. Funny story, after we left it we headed across the street to a tourist shop in hopes of finding some sunglasses for me (I'd forgotten mine) There were two men behind the counter and one of them said to Kev, "You look just like Roger Federer." Kev and I laughed and then he said with the most serious look in his eye, "You're not him are you?" We assured him that he was not. Maybe we should have pretended he was!

We loved St Paul's Cathedral, it was so cool. While we waited in line to get in we googled all the different movies and famous people that had been here.

The view from the top was so good! And like I said, it was fun to have a clear day to see the city!

Next we went to the London Bridge. These cute Asian teenagers asked to take their picture and then they took ours. They were from Hong Kong and were fun to talk to.

We grabbed some lunch at Borough Market and it was an EXPERIENCE! We were there on a Saturday so the market was at full capacity and I have never seen such delicious food! I didn't have enough room in my belly! There were so many vendors and so many people and such a huge variety of food. It reminded me a little of Pike Place Market in Seattle.

On Sunday we caught church at the Hyde Park Stake Center. I was so tired from our travels and slept through most of Sacrament meeting, oops. We were there the Sunday after President Nelson and Elder Holland had visited and spoke to the saints there, you could tell they were still on such a high from it.

From here we started walking to Hyde Park and found the most beautiful blossoms along the way:

Kensington Palace! Home of our favorite Royals. This was fun to see and now whenever I hear something about Kensington Palace in the news I know exactly where they're talking about and it makes me feel dang good. haha.

We also visited Knotting Hill and saw the cutest street. I also watched that movie right before we went and remembered how much I love old 90's rom coms.

Kev was stoked to see Seahawks Colors:

Right by Knotting Hill was Portabello Road. We weren't planning to go there and just stumbled on it, but happened to catch the end of the huge market there so that was fun. Kev found this vintage Seahawks jacket from the 80's. He's literally wanted to get one of these but they've always been so expensive, so that was a fun find.
And while we were there I randomly remembered that old movie "Bednobs and Broomsticks" where they sing the song, "Portabello Road" and I believe they literally go to that same market to find an old book? I haven't seen it forever but that was fun for me. I am realizing more and more how I am SUCH a nostalgic person. haha
