Halloween 2018 will go down in history as one of my favorites. It has a lot to do with the fact that my kids were still too young to really have a say in their costumes. I dressed Halle as Madeline from the children's book by Ludwig Behlman. My name is spelled Madeline and although technically its pronounced differently, people always called me Madeline like how the book is pronounced. I had a whole Madeline collection growing up, so dressing my daughter as Madeline was just too much fun for me. I wanted Beau's costume to go along with hers so he was Max from Where The Wild Things Are. So my theme was children's books! I meant to incorporate costumes for Kev and I but it didn't happen. Next year!
This was the weekend before Halloween at my parent's house in Logan so they could see their costumes. My mom made Halle's cape, she's so talented!
This was right before the ward trunk or treat. It was like pulling teeth to get a smiling picture of them, but I love all of these super silly ones we got.
Halle with her preschool teachers. She loves Miss Kim and Miss Wende!
We went to a friend party at Brittany's house and decided to switch up the costumes so we didn't overdo it. Beau was a Cow (same costume halle wore a few years ago) and Halle was Elsa!
By the time actual Halloween came they had already worn their Madeline and Max costumes like 50 times for school parties, trunk or treats, a couple friend parties etc so they were a little burned out. So last minute Halle decided to be Rapunzel to switch things up. We even found a little Pascal toy that her cousins had given her and used some old extensions of mine to get longer her. She was super cute!
Our annual tradition of going to the Bodine's for Halloween. Halle and Beau love trick or treating with their cousins!
