MAN, I am so behind! I'm trying to catch up on almost a year, so most of my posts will be a photo dump. But it's important to me to stay up to date with our blog, it's been a great way to remember things and a place to put our photos and family memories. A huge thing that I can't skip over is the building of our house! It felt like it all happened so fast, but yet took us forever to decide at the same time. We decided we wanted to make a move to a place that would be great for our kids to grow up and for them to be able to make great friends. We looked at a lot of areas and almost settled on Daybreak, but then decided on Bluffdale. Our friends Kylie and Brendan first turned us on to the neighborhood where they lived, we checked it out and it just felt right! However, we slowly and tentatively started going through with the process, we didn't want to rush anything. Through it all we picked the layout, went to the design center to pick all of the finishes, etc. All in all we had a positive experience building, except for a few things here and there. As I'm typing this on May 18 we've been in our house for almost 10 months and we have fallen in love with our neighborhood, the ward, the people, and our kids have more than enough kids to play with. I'm so grateful that it all worked out!
Here are some pics of the process!
So our front door is a fun coral color. However the color I picked is a lot more dark and orangey than I thought I was picking. I decided I would wait at least a year before deciding on paining it. We're almost there so we'll see what happens!

For weeks this was the only area of the house that had any kind of decoration, mostly because I didn't have to hang anything on the wall:
