Goodbye Blue House!

The time finally came to say goodbye to our cute blue house on Creekwood Drive. It was all kind of crazy because we got back from San Diego on Sunday and were out of the house on Wednesday. It was nuts and we were real tired. But I'm so thankful everything worked out and our appraisal finally came through for us. 

We said goodbye to our home yesterday. (June 13) It hit me incredibly hard and as I was looking around at the empty house before I walked out the door for the last time. We only lived there 3 and a half years but it's where we brought our two babies home and was our first home. My most vivid memory is when we brought Halle home for the first time. I think it's so vivid because it was when I became a mother. It's one of my best memories, it felt like we were bringing our little piece of heaven to our own little refuge and it all felt like heaven itself. It also was incredibly hard, but the kind of hard where you look back and see how much growth you had. There were similar feelings when we brought Beau home, but I'll never forget when we became mom and dad in those four walls. 

When we moved in I was pregnant with Halle and it's so crazy because that feels like an eternity ago! We also made so many changes to our house. This room ended up being painted white with the furniture totally moved around. 

 We did so much work on our house which made it feel so much like home! Within the first couple weeks we added new floors:

The floor, the backsplash, and the pendants completely transformed the kitchen. Oh and we painted the walls grey in there! We loved that kitchen!

 We will always look back so fondly on our time in "our blue house" as Halle called it. No I'm not crying!

Halle's Bday is also one of my best memories at that house, we were surrounded by friends and family basically celebrating the fact that we made it through our first year of parenthood. I promise I love Beau just as much, Halle just lived there longer.
