One day we took a drive over to the Hilo side of the island and saw some pretty neat stuff. (we were staying on the Kona side) We saw Rainbow Falls which was so beautiful! Everything on the Hilo side is SO GREEN. Like immeasurably green, you're literally in a Jurassic Park movie. (Like really, they filmed some of them there.) Rainbow Falls was cool, even though we weren't there at the right time of day to see rainbows on the water.
Next we headed to Akaka Falls. Its a little "hike" but really its just a nice walk down a paved path with some steps. We brought Halle here last time so it was fun to come again. The only way to describe Akaka Falls is breathtaking. It is so big and majestic, it is a sight to behold!
Halle tripped on our way up and cracked her chin open. It was a real bummer and I'm just really glad she didn't need stitches! She is so tough and didn't let it ruin our day!
Again, some of my fav pics of Beau. They're just so photogenic at 6/7 months! Btw, Beau turned 7 months while we were in Hawaii. He is the sweetest boy and we could not love him more!
On our drive home we took a bit of a detour to see Waipio Valley. The weather took a turn for the worse and it was cold and windy, but still worth seeing!
