We went on a little California/Disney Trip right after Christmas this year! It was our main big Christmas gift, because we have been trying to be all about experiences, not things. Kirk and Debbie came with us and it was so fun to all go together. This was Beau's first airplane ride and he did so well. He is so easy to please and I am so grateful for that!
Kev and I had both been SO freaking excited to take Halle to Disneyland. She was in a phase of being obsessed with Mickey and Minnie and all things Disney. She even asked Santa for a little Mickey figurine that she had lost. Every time we watch a Disney movie and they show the castle and the fireworks she would say Disneyland! So we were pretty excited to say the least. She was at such a fun age and it all did live up to our hype, the goodness! :)
We got to LAX in the afternoon and waited WAY too long for a shuttle bus to take us to our rental car, got to our hotel, and then went to Disney! It was kind of a bummer because every single one of us except for Beau (I'll attribute breastfeeding to that) was feeling sick at least some point on this trip. So that was unfortunate, but we really still did have a great time.
Right after Halle and I went on this ride together in Bug's Land we met the rest of the family for the live Frozen show. It was so well done and Halle sat through it and loved it.
Kev and I on the Car's ride after a long and happy first day at Disneyland
The second day we were there Halle got to meet Mickey and Minnie and it was SO cute. We have lots of videos of it that show how excited she really was, but I for sure haven't gone through those yet. haha She was so excited and thought she was legitimately meeting the real life Mickey and Minnie Mouse. These pictures speak for themselves- Oh the magic of childhood!
Beau was such a trooper this whole trip. He is so go with the flow and as long as he was fed and able to take some naps he was set. I took him to the baby areas that Disney has in both parks now and then and they were perfect for changing diapers and nursing.
The Mickey Macaroon. I am not usually a huge fan of macaroons but this one is seriously so so good.
Kev bought Halle a Purple Mickey Balloon before a parade and she still talks about it to this day. "We left my purple balloon in the hotel." So sad.
Meeting Goofy. It looks like he's giving her a priesthood blessing. haha
The whole gang. It was so nice to have Kirk and Debbie with us to help with the kids so we could ride not just the kiddie rides. Oh and because we like their company. :)
We were looking in the window of Boudin Bakery one night and one of the workers was looking at Halle and told her to wait right there. She came out and gave this to her! It was so sweet.
That flash though
Halle met Lightning Macqueen! Ka chow!
Me and my sweet Beau beau!
When Halle met Buzz Lightyear. She was absolutely star struck! It was SO sweet. I love that she loves Buzz Lightyear so much. She really does like the princesses too, but she LOVES Buzz Lightyear and all things Toy Story.
This was when we were about to go into the Disney Junior Show and Beau needed to nurse. There were tons of people in line behind us. Anything for Beau!
The show was very fun and Halle loved it. Surprisingly, Beau loved it too and kept yelling super loud and jumping around to the music.
Halle can't be bothered for a picture
The Mickey Mouse Ice cream never fails
We had such a fun time at Disneyland! I'm super grateful for the memories we made, even though we felt sick on and off, it was still super fun!
